The University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa in Production with InfoEd's Research Outputs Management Software

InfoEd International, Inc., the leading provider of software solutions for electronic Research Administration (eRA), has announced that the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg has gone live with InfoEd's Research Output Management software for electronic Grant Management. As part of a nationwide research administration initiative, The Department of Science and Technology and the National Research Foundation have contracted with the company for the implementation of its Suite of Research Administration Software to twenty-three (23) Universities and nine (9) Science councils.
The University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg is a leading South African research university and has an international reputation for excellence, innovation, and enterprise. It is one of the five largest research universities in South Africa, receiving in excess of R350 million of external research funding annually.
Roger Maskell, Programme Manager said "The InfoEd research outputs module has been developed with collaboration of various institutions and will allow consistent reporting to our national departments of Education, Science and Technology ensuring our government is informed of research thrusts in a timely manner in the future."
Edward Johnson, President of InfoEd International, indicated that having participated in the official launch of the Research Information Management System (RIMS) project in South Africa in February, "I am truly proud of the initial implementation and rollout of our newest module, Research Outputs, at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.
